Biography
Song Dong-Uk was a South Korean professional tennis player who achieved a career-best singles ranking of #352 in the world in April 1987, and a doubles ranking of #296 in the world in July 1987. Song played on South Korea’s Davis Cup team from 1981 to 1989.
At the 1982 Asian Games Song won silver in the doubles with partner Jeon Young-Dai. Four years later he won the gold medal in the team event along with Kim Bong-Su, Ro Gap-Taik, and Yu Jin-Seon. Song competed in the singles at the 1988 Seoul Olympics but lost in the first round to the eventual silver medallist Tim Mayotte.
