Larry McCormick was from Buckingham, Quebec, but had enlisted in the US Army in 1916 and as a result of his honorable discharge was granted automatic US citizenship just a few weeks before the 1920 hockey tournament began. He was a member of the Pittsburgh AA team which won the McNaughton Cup, given to the U.S. national amateur champions, in both 1918 and 1920. He worked as a mechanic.
