Mexican professional tennis player Agustín Moreno achieved a career-best singles ranking of #120 in the world in July 1988, and a doubles ranking of #40 in the world in May 1989. Moreno played on Mexico’s Davis Cup team from 1985 to 1993.
Moreno and Peruvian Jaime Yzaga were the boys’ doubles champion at Wimbledon in 1985. The pair partnered each other in two ATP finals in 1989 where they finished as runners-up each time. As a singles player Moreno competed in the first round at the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open. He competed in the singles and doubles at the 1988 Seoul Olympics where he lost to Stefan Edberg in the second round of the singles. At the 1993 Central American and Caribbean Games he won a gold in the doubles and a silver in the team event.
