The Alpensia Sliding Centre, located in Daegwallyeong in PyeongChang County, was the venue for the 2018 luge competitions, held from 10-15 February. The track in Alpensia was only the second track in Asia. The five World Cup competitions in November and December 2017 were the qualifying events for the games, and a total of 110 athletes eventually took part in the four events. As in 2014, there were four events, with men’s and women’s singles, a doubles event, and a mixed team relay.
