Individual (B-Boys), Men

The favorites included the American Victor (Victor Montalvo – a 2012/2023 World Champion and Red Bull BC One winner in 2015 and 2022), the Canadian Phil Wizard (Philip Kim – a 2022 World Champion and Red Bull BC One finalist in 2021/2023), Korea’s Hongten (Kim Hong-Ul – Red Bull BC One winner in 2006, 2013, and 2023), the Dutch Menno (Menno van Gorp – 2019 World Champion and 2014/2017 Red Bull BC One champion), and crowd favorite Japanese Shigekix (Shigeyuki Nakarai – 2020 Red Bull BC One). Among the French competitors, Dany Dann (Danis Civil) was the first to qualify for the Games by winning the gold medal at the 2023 European Games.

All the favorites advanced out of the group battles, with Dany Dann, Phil Wizard, Victor, and Shigekix winning their quarter-final battles. In the first semi-final, Phil Wizard won the first two rounds over Dany Dann to advance to the final. Victor easily defeated Shigekix in the other semi.

In the final, Phil Wizard narrowly won the first battle, 5-4, but then won the final two battles, 9-0, to take the gold medal. The bronze medal battle was also a comfortable win for Victor, taking all three rounds over Shigekix.
