The top three favorites lived up to expectations, claiming the medals, with two of them repeating their podium finishes from Tokyo 2020.

In a historic performance, 14-year-old Australian Arisa Trew, a multiple X Games champion, captured the gold medal despite a fall in her initial run. She became the youngest Australian to secure an Olympic gold, earning a top score of 93.18 with a stellar final run. Trew’s victory also marked the first time an Australian woman won an Olympic skateboarding medal. Her performance featured impressive tricks, including a 360 over the box and two 540s. Beyond her athletic achievements, she had a unique personal motivation as her parents had promised her a pet duck if she won gold, a wish they fulfilled after her victory.

The silver medalist was Japan’s Kokona Hiraki, who secured the silver with 92.63, repeating her podium finish from Tokyo 2020.

Great Britain’s Sky Brown, the 2023 World champion, repeated her performance from Tokyo 2020 and secured her second career Olympic bronze medal with a score of 92.31.
