Austrian foil fencer Anatol Richter was also active in judo, sailing, basketball, and alpine skiing. He participated in the 1988 Seoul and 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics. Richter was eliminated early in the individual foil in 1988, and in 1992 placed 11th both individually and with the Austrian team.
Richter participated in several World Championships and won many Austrian national titles. A graduated lawyer, he later headed the sports office in the city of Wien (Vienna) from 2012.
