Rob Bruniges was a British fencer and coach. Bruniges became the World Junior foil champion in 1976 and the British foil champion in 1981. Bruniges competed at three consecutive Olympics; 1976 Montréal, 1980 Moskva, and the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. In Montréal he finished in 23rd place in the individual foil, and finished in sixth place with Great Britain in the team foil. At the Moskva Olympics Bruniges improved his placement in the individual competition, finishing in 19th. He was also part of Great Britain’s teams for the foil and épée, where they finished eighth and seventh, respectively. Bruniges competed in his final Olympics at the 1984 Los Angeles Games with a sixth-place finish in the team foil.
