Biography

Gabriel Calvo was a Spanish gymnast who competed at two Olympic Games. Calvo’s first Olympics were the 1976 Montréal Games where he finished 19th in the horse vault and 76th in the individual all-round competition. Three years later he won gold in the floor exercise at the 1979 Mediterranean Games in Split, along with a team silver. In 1980 he had become the Spanish champion, earning himself another place at the Olympics. At the Moskva Games Calvo came 28th in the individual all-round event.
