Biography

Peter Radford had the following podium finishes at major championships: 3rd in the 1960 Olympics 100 metres, 3rd in the 1960 Olympics 4×100 metres Relay; 1st in the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games 4×110 yards Relay (with David Segal, Roy Sandstrom, and the non-Olympian Adrian Breaker), 1st in the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games 4×110 yards Relay (with Alf Meakin, David Jones, and the non-Olympian Len Carter). In the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games 100 yards Radford finished fourth and in the 220 yards he was eliminated in the semi-finals. In the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games 100 yards as well as in the 220 yards he was eliminated in the semi-finals. In the British Empire and Commonwealth Games he competed for England.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.29 (1958); 200 – 20.4y (1960).
