Biography

Asle Bækkedal was a Norwegian track and field athlete who specialised as a sprinter. Bækkedal ran in the 100 metres at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics but did not advance from his heat. He was also part of the quartet that ran in the 4 × 100 metres relay. Bækkedal emigrated to France as a young man and later moved to Sweden.

Personal Best: 100 – 10.9 (1921).
