Biography

After their competitive career Vadim Naumov and Yevgeniya Shishkova got married and immigrated to the United States where they started coaching. In the 2020s they were working at the Skating Club of Boston, with one of their students their son, Maxim Naumov. Maxim finished fourth in the men’s event at the 2025 USA Nationals in Wichita, Kansas. Vadim and Yevgeniya stayed in Wichita a few extra days for a youth development camp. Sadly, they were killed in the air crash of American Airline 5342 that collided with a military helicopter just before landing at Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC. All 67 people on the plane and the helicopter died.
