Biography

Bernd Trunschka, brother of Gerd Trunschka, was an ice hockey forward who competed at three consecutive Winter Olympics with the West German and re-unified German teams in 1988, 1992 and 1994. In total, he earned 108 international caps, scoring 18 goals and played at four World Championships.

Domestically, Trunschka played with EV Landshut (1982-89 and 2000-01, German Champion in 1983), Düsseldorfer EG (1989-97, German Champion 1990-93 and 1996), TSV Erding (1997-98), and EHC Waldkraiburg (1998-99). Trunschka became sports director and later CEO at EV Landshut (later Landshut Cannibals) after his active career (2005-12).
