The men’s curling event in 1992 had eight teams split into two groups of four teams, each playing a round-robin format to advance them to the semi-finals. Canada, the 1989-90 World Champions, and Norway, won the groups, both going undefeated. Switzerland upset Canada in the semi-finals, 8-4, while Norway advanced with an 8-3 win over the United States. Switzerland then defeated Norway, 7-6, to win the event, while the United States defeated Canada in the consolation third-place match.
