Angel Aguiar had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1951 Pan American Games rings, 1st in the 1951 Pan American Games vault, 2nd in the 1951 Pan American Games team (with Raimundo Rey, Francisco Cascante, Baldomaro Rubiera, Roberto Villacián, Fernando Lecuona, Rafael Lecuona, and the non-Olympian José A. Vázquez).
