Medal Events | 18 |
As at London in 1908, the 1912 Olympic shooting program had a large number of events - 18 at Stockholm as compared to 15 at London. And similarly, the events could basically be separated into five categories: 1) long-range rifle shooting, 2) small-bore rifle shooting, 3) pistol shooting, 4) clay bird trap shooting, and 5) running deer shooting. The pistol and rifle events were held at Kaknäs, while the running deer and clay trap events were held at Råsunda.
Sweden and the United States dominated the competitions. Both won seven gold medals, with Sweden winning 17 medals in all to the 14 won by the United States.
