Medal Events | 8 |
The Olympic short track events of 2010 were held in the Pacific Coliseum together with the figure skating competitions. The program had remained unchanged, with four events each for men and women. The Chinese female skaters dominated and won all four gold medals, making the country all-time third behind South Korea and Canada, who both won two of the men’s events. Two skaters made the record books: Wang Meng won three gold medals for a total of four golds, one silver and one bronze, to make her the most successful short track Olympian of all time. One skater has won more medals, however: Apolo Anton Ohno increased his Olympic medal tally to eight medals in total.
